Support for Students
Students at Halewood Academy get first-rate advice and guidance to prepare them for the workplace. Our students can expect one-to-one, personal support covering:
- Career Options – one-to-one discussions to help students decide what career might be best
- Employability & Work Skills – in-depth support on improving skills for the work place
- Links with Employers – the chance to talk directly and make connections with hundreds of local employers
- Signposting – support for students and parents in finding the right advice and support from many different agencies
- Work Experience – a tailored programme of work experience in different industry sectors

Support is not just provided to our students, We will signpost parents where they can access a wide range of help, depending on their circumstances and what they need:

- www.gov.uk/universal-credit: support for low income families.
- www.samaritans.org.uk: confidential support regardless of what you’re going through, 24 hours a day.
- www.mind.org.uk: dedicated and free mental health support for people of all ages, available 24 hours a day
- www.citizensadvice.org.uk: free advice on benefits, housing, work, debt, money, family and much more.
