Halewood Awards Evening

On Thursday 9 November staff, students and parents celebrated a special night to honour over 150 students who were rewarded for all their achievements over the last year.  We were delighted to be joined by many former students from the Class of 2017 along with our Guest of Honour, Paul Boyce, Director of Children's Services in Knowsley.  Head Girl and Head Boy, Faye Clifton and Daniel Fisher, both delivered confident and inspirational speeches.  You can read their speeches below.

Principal, Mr Evans was proud to present the inaugural Megan Hurley Outstanding Achievement Award in memory of Megan who we lost in the Manchester bombing in May. Megan's family had kindly agreed to be present and Bradley, Megan's brother, was pleased to be able to present the award to Year 9 student, Lillie-Beth Kelly.  Lillie-Beth organised a race for Life in aid of Cancer Research earlier this year which raised over £3000.  you can read more about the Race for Life HERE.  The Year 11 leavers' Student of the Year Award was presented to Amy McDonough who is now studying A Levels at St Edwards College.   Mr Evans' speech can be read below.
