Year 10 Geography fieldtrip 2014
Well it has been a great year for the Geography Department! We have had two great fieldtrips. Year 7 started us off with looking at transport and the history of settlements in Liverpool and the Wirral. We recently returned from the GCSE Geography fieldtrip with year 10.
Year 10 were studying the impacts of tourism on Snowdonia National park, so our study area chosen was Betws-y-coed. Here we looked at traffic congestion, parking issues and we also asked tourists and locals about the tourism issues in the area. It was a successful day for all pupils; they really enjoyed the day and found out lots of information on the area. The pupils have even asked to go again in Year 11 and maybe do some work on the local river there bringing in Physical geography elements.
